The School District 145 Board of Education has a cumulative 61+ years of service. Their dedication and efforts to provide quality leadership have resulted in the development of an outstanding educational opportunity for students. The board works diligently to meet the educational demands of students while striving to embrace the Board adopted mission statement that reads:

District 145, in partnership with our community, prepares students for a successful future by continually creating relevant learning experiences and focusing on all students' needs.

Board Member Biographies

Ward I	Dennis Francke is serving his second term of office and is in his eighth year as a board member. He currently serves as Vice-President of the Board. Dennis and his wife Gena have children Jill, Grant, and Kendra that are graduates of Waverly High School.
Ward II	Alan Retzlaff is serving his fourth term of office and is in his fourteenth year as a board member. Alan and his wife Shirley have children Rob, Ted, & Jason that are graduates of Waverly High School.
Ward III	David Doran is serving his first term of office and is in his fourth year as a board member. David currently serves as Treasurer of the Board. He and his wife Cindy have two children in school, James a seventh grader at Waverly Middle School, and Ashley, a ninth grader at Waverly High School.
Ward IV	Marcia Herring is serving her third term of office and is in her tenth year as a board member. Marcia currently serves as President of the Board. Marcia and her husband Mike, have children Marcus, a graduate of Waverly High School, and Meredith, a ninth grader at Waverly High School.
Ward V	Linda Bevans is serving her third term of office and is in her eleventh year as a board member plus time served via an appointment to complete a vacated seat. Linda currently serves as Secretary for the Board. Linda's son Tyler is a graduate of Waverly High School.
Ward VI	Jerry Minchow is serving his fourth term of office and is in his fourteenth year as a board member. Jerry and his wife Marty have sons Darren and Jason that are graduates of Waverly High School.
