Tips for Downloading PDF documents

The newsletter and Hi-Spot files are PDF (Portable Document Format) files. To open them, you need to use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which comes loaded on most computers. If you do not have the Adobe Reader software, you may download it at Adobe's Web Site.

Once you are sure you have the Adobe Reader, your web browser should automatically launch the Adobe software and open the file when you click on it.

We have found the best solution for people who have trouble getting their browser to automatically open the file is to do the following:

1. Right click on the link for the file.

2. Choose "Save Target As" and choose to save the file on your desktop.

3. Double click the file on your desktop to open it.

If you continue to experience problems, try these steps on another computer, ask your student to print a copy for you at school or stop by the HS guidance office to pick up a printed copy.
