The seventh grade team just completed the multi-cultural unit based on the novel Children of the River by Linda Crew. The culminating activity for this unit of study was our annual multi-cultural day, which was held on March 25th. In the morning all CORE activities centered around Asian culture, and in the afternoon the student heard insights from local Viet Nam veteran, Greg Holloway.
Next up for the seventh grade team is our annual Career Day, which will be held on April 18th. If you would be interested in speaking to a group of 15 to 20 students about your chosen career, we would love to have you. Each session only lasts about a half an hour. Students will sign up to be a part of your session according to their interest level in your field. If you are interested, or know someone you would be, please contact Mrs. Lynne Anderson at the middle school.
The seventh grade team is also looking for volunteers to chaperone our end of the year field trip to one of the local state parks. More information will be sent out as it is made available.
Thank you to all the parents and students who were able to attend parent teacher conferences. Please remember that conferences are not the only time we can discuss you student’s progress. Please feel free to contact us any time. We are here to help. |
